D19 includes (1) Methodology for BIM/IFC-based data sharing; (2) IFC specifications for selected key processes; and (3) Prototype implementations of BIM. The methodology explains how to refine IFC and explains different types of specifications such as IDM and MVD that recently have been introduced by the IAI. The IFC specifications comprise technical refinements that have been specified for three key processes, namely KP3 - energy analysis, KP4 - model-based scheduling and KP7 - cost management. It has been shown that most of required information can be handled with IFC 2x3. The prototype implementation is a based on a proof-of-concept and the refinement of the proposed extensions.
