Process maps for Key Process 7: Cost management

The focus of KP7 is to connect cost estimations or calculations of increasing accuracy to the development of design alternatives during the Early Design Process. These costs can be divided into two main categories: investment costs and Life Cycle Costs.
KP7 is very broad in scope and represents a high level process at the very beginning of the early design phase. In this key process there is a strong need to communicate between stakeholders, providing their information from the start of the project. It has strong links with various other results from InPro, e.g. to the InPro Life-cycle design process.
The interplay between energy performance and the related costs is a very important point in the construction sector and will even become more and more relevant. The demonstration of this key process has shown the possibility to create and share information across various applications, using an iterative process to optimise the design.
