Role in InPro: Experienced project coordinator and partner of 3 IPs. Extensive R&D on e.g. lean construction, ICT, prefabrication, and energy efficiency in buildings.

Learn form this experience to provide a better Concurrent Design Service and strengthen our position in the Construction/Building sector.

Organisation: Eurostep is a software and services company with unique skills in delivering solutions for product data exchange and sharing in the engineering design and supply chains. Eurostep base the software and services on information standards such as STEP (ISO10303 including PLCS, AP233), IFC and Web Services (SOA).
Role in InPro: To develop a server platform, and to research the IFC interfacing of the server with a view to implementing the exchange requirements of client applications. A substantial research effort is planned for generating the server infrastructure and for extending IFC implementations, and executing advanced object versioning. Eurostep’s main task is to generate the model and document server for the InPro demonstrations.
Interest in InPro: Eurostep has invested a lot in developing IFC and other standards such as STEP and PLCS. InPro has the potential to spread the uptake of new ways of collaborating, triggered by the new possibilities for efficient information sharing. Eurostep will bring to the market SW and services that will enable the InPro result to be exploited globally to make the BIM Collaboration Hub happen.
